primetime host and anchor on the Turner Classic Movies cable
television network. He has written a dozen books on the film world,
many of them focused on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and
Sciences. He is also a frequent host of the Academy''s in-person
tributes, both in Beverly Hills and New York.
