Now the world is amidst the winds of change and at an important turning point when powers recombine. All kinds of contradictions and interests interweave with each other and collide against each other, which causes various endless hot issues and attracts extensive attention from the international community.
Among them, the old issues keep simmering. Iran’s nuclear issue, Afghanistan’s issue and other issues continue to evolve and no prospect of solving them soon can be seen yet. Although Iran has shown the wish to improve its relationship with the United States and deal with Iran’s nuclear issue recently, the two countries have become enemies for a long time and it will take some time to thaw their relations. Although the Afghanistan’s issue has entered the stage of U.S. troop withdrawal, the prospect is still complicated and confusing, and the issue is likely to escalate again.
Meanwhile, new issues also emerge. The Middle East has been in clamor for recent two years. The Syria’s crisis which has attracted much attention reflects that the political campaign which is called “Arab Spring” by the West has changed long before. With the intervention from external powers, it has changed from handling internal corruption, autocracy and people’s livelihood into bloody sectarian strife and the struggle over regional dominant right. The chaos of Arabian countries’ political transformation and the heavy price they paid fully show that any wonderful reform blueprint is just a piece of waste paper without political stability and good social as well as economic order. Snowden revealed the incident that the United States stole other countries’ confidential information via network, which strongly shocks the whole world and also makes network security become the focus of each country as well as a difficult issue that urgently needs to be resolved in international relations.
It’s worth noting that new issues and situations emerge in the surrounding area of China. With the development of China, aggravated right deviation in Japan and the intervention of the United States, Diaoyu Islands dispute and South China Sea issue become increasingly highlighted. How to appropriately deal with divergence with neighboring countries, and defend national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity are the issues that must be resolved by China who insists on peaceful development. China always propose to deal with and solve related issues through dialogue, and calls on parties concerned to adopt responsible attitude so as to get back on the track of properly dealing with and solving issues through dialogue as soon as possible and safeguard regional peace and stability together.
It can be seen that the world now is a bit “restless”. As a responsible power, China cannot develop itself in isolation from the world. The world also “attaches more and more importance to” China and pays attention to China’s attitude, stand as well as policy towards the above-mentioned events. Meanwhile, since the 18th CPC Central Committee, the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics moves forward steadily and its achievements are remarkable. The proposal of China dream and the fact that the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee is successfully held attract the attention of the whole world. What is China dream? Where will China go after the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee? With close attention and a large number of reports, the western press also has doubts and misunderstandings. The world wants to know China and China also needs to take the initiative to express itself to the world and convey its voice so that the world will understand China dream.
